Carter is really a transforming of individual informal typeforms which were well-known all over the mid twentieth century, normally observed employed in advertising and marketing or pulp fiction guide covers.
The letterforms have been reshaped and digitized to be used on the web, which include opening up the counterforms a little and optimizing the stems for use in display typography.
It was designed by Vernon Adams. You can use this font for both personal & commercial.
