Theano is often a widespread name for some fonts I’ve designed from historic samples. The majority of these fonts had been initially intended as Greek-only faces, but ultimately I identified it fascinating to supplement them with stylistically compatible Latin letters, as a result reproducing the common look of old classical text editions.
Because of this Theano fonts at present have no additional weights or styles and don’t present comprehensive Unicode coverage: just a typical set of Latin, Greek and Cyrillic characters (like the full polytonic set for Greek) and a few further characters I found interesting to design. Nevertheless I decided to make them publicly available in the hope they will be helpful for other classicists or medievalists.
